Novonix is a specialized company spun out of Dr. Jeff Dahn’s lab at Dalhousie University that specializes in developing equipment with a strong focus on the use of High Precision Coulometry (HPC) for reliable lifetime evaluation of lithium-ion cells. Novonix has expertise in materials and cell testing, and offers a range of battery testing equipment and accessories. Novonix has developed industry leading high precision cyclers able to measure the coulombic efficiency of cells to less than 20 ppm noise (typically < 10 ppm) and to better than 50 ppm accuracy.
Novonix was started in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2013 by Dr. Chris Burns and Dr. David Stevens, with the goal of bringing state-of-the-art battery testing equipment from the research lab to market success.
